Four hours out to the Gulf. Two hours parked on the sand. Forty people, no split boats, no missing half your crew.
Getting a big group to the Gulf is hard. Shuttle services split people up. Beach rentals mean driving, parking, and losing half your group at the crosswalk. Smaller charter boats split a group of forty across seven vessels.
The River Skipper II carries up to 40 passengers on a single USCG inspected boat. You all leave together, anchor together, swim together, and come back together. The Manatee River is the only place in this area where that trip is possible at this scale.
The cruise heads out the river and into the Gulf, making its way to a sandbar near Anna Maria Island. Two hours out on the water, then two hours anchored on the sand. Swim, shell, wade, float, or just sit with your feet in the Gulf.
Your captain picks the best sandbar based on tides and conditions that day. The water is typically shallow enough to stand and clear enough to see the bottom. Departure is from Regatta Pointe Marina in Palmetto.
Yes. We anchor at the sandbar and guests can get in the water, walk the sand, and swim. The water is typically shallow and clear.
Sunscreen, towels, water shoes if you have them, and whatever food and drinks you want. We supply the ice. Bring a dry bag for your phone.
Yes. Gulf conditions can change. If weather prevents us from reaching the sandbar safely, your captain will find the best alternative or we will reschedule.
Up to 40 passengers on one boat. The River Skipper II is USCG inspected, which is how we legally carry that many. Most boats on this water hold six.
